To create an account, we collect an email address and a password. Your password is handled entirely by our authentication provider (Supabase) — we never see or store it in plain text.
Everything you create inside GameScribe — notebooks, characters, NPCs, locations, notes, chapters, and loot — is stored so it can sync across your devices. This is your content; we don't read it, and we don't use it for anything other than showing it back to you.
Only you. Every piece of data is locked to your account at the database level (not just in the app's code), so it isn't possible for another GameScribe user to see your notebooks, and we don't manually browse user data as a matter of course.
We don't sell data, share it with advertisers, or use any analytics or tracking scripts in the app.
Deleting everything also permanently removes your login and email record — your account ceases to exist entirely, with nothing left to recover.
GameScribe uses only the minimum technical storage needed to keep you signed in (an authentication session). There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
GameScribe is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we recommend exporting a backup of anything you'd be upset to lose.
If how we handle data changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and adjust the date above.
Questions about your data, or want your account fully removed (including the login itself)? Reach out through whatever channel pointed you to this app.
